Dr Sandeep Gandhi is an adept, enterprising professional with over 2 decades of experience including 8 years as an HR Director/HR Head in a leadership role.
Dr Gandhi is multi-faceted, holding a Master's degree and a PhD in Human Resources, a Labour law graduate and is a certified psychometric tool design Trainer. Armed with such exceptional and diverse knowledge, he has successfully headed a number of companies and led numerous teams over 2 decades, with his career spanning across manufacturing as well as complex service industries.
Such diversity is also reflected in his work geographies. He has worked across India - Asia, and Europe. Each place has added to his cultural understanding of how business is done in different regions and the softer aspects that need to be taken care of while managing a company's HR.
Having worked with some of the biggest brands across sectors, such as UniLever, Sanofi, PepsiCo, Vodafone, Telenor and now Aircel, he has grown as an HR professional and more so as a leader, developing a deep understanding of business and organizational values.
At each organization, the binding thread despite the varied experiences has been the close association with mergers and acquisitions. The tenacity to manage change and help people see opportunities in uncertainty are few of the qualities that he is highly respected for. Personally too, he thoroughly enjoyed the rich experience of being a part of M&As and has been pivotal in balancing and diffusing the multi-work culture differences in organizations such as Pepsi-Coke, Sanofi-Torrent, Hutch-Vodafone, Unitech - Telenor and Videocon.
Such experience has given him a deeper insight into recognizing the pulse of a company and directing it accordingly. His unconventional approach and ability to take calculated risks makes him widely recognized in the HR community as a spearhead for augmenting & sustaining innovative HR practices for both strategic and operational purposes. He successfully set up two large-scale Pan- India telecom businesses i.e. Telenor India, Videocon- including the handset, DTH business from scratch. The transformation work at Aircel resulted in company turnaround and wiped off losses of 5000 crore in less than a year resulting into EBITDA positive stature. This significant turnaround prompted Duke and Harvard to include "the Aircel Story" as a case study.
As a leader he has always believed in taking people with him in his journey towards perfection. Teamwork and leadership are extremely important qualities that have remained crucial to him when conceptualizing workforce development. He rolled out a unique leadership program based on competency assessment and successfully set up Assessment and Development Centers in PepsiCo & Hutch at a national level which focused on innovative strategies to promote home grown champions and comprehensive career planning.
He also intently worked for PepsiCo's CSR initiative to re-establish 30 villages post the earthquake of 7.8 Richter scale in Gujarat in 2001 and was rewarded by the Global CEO of Pepsi for this initiative.

Award winning Singer and Composer Sonam Kalra is that rare breed of musician who has been trained in both Indian and Western music traditions and is equally adept at both. She has a rich, powerful, yet sensitive voice with an ability to blend styles, yet stay true to the music whether she is singing Indian classical music or rendering classical Opera, Jazz and gospel songs.
Over the last 4 years, Sonam has been researching the music and texts of different religions and has created a new genre of music called, 'The Sufi Gospel Project'. 'Sonam Kalra & The Sufi Gospel Project' attempts to blend the many voices of faith, through the use of song, music and the spoken word. Traditional western gospels meld with Indian classical sounds and spiritual texts to create a sound that touches every soul. Revealing that no matter what the language of the lyrics, or the ethnicity of the sounds, there is but one language - the language of faith. And that is the universal truth.
Sonam has featured on MTV's Coke Studio and has shared the stage with legendary musicians like Abida Parveen at Muzaffar Ali's World Sufi Festival Jahan-e-Khusrau as well as Sir Bob Geldof and performed at Prestigious Music Festivals all over the world and for renowned musician Sting. She has just returned from a 6 country tour which included her participation in the Sama'a music festival at Cairo where she performed at the Pyramids of Giza.
She is the recipient of the Devi Award instituted by The Indian Express newspaper for her innovation and creativity in music as well as The L'oreal Femina Women Of Worth Award 2015 for Excellence in Music.
