In today's rapidly changing business world, two primary challenges face top CEOs worldwide: solving the "leadership gap" and mastering the art of creating a sustainable corporate culture.

Long thought to be merely a "soft" resource in the corporate equation, culture is fast being recognized by business leaders to be the key ingredient in creating and sustaining long-term growth and change. And what is the key to creating a strong business culture? It's about having great leaders at all levels but also having a passion and focus for identifying and developing future leaders.

CEOs are looking to HR for leadership, vision, strategy and passion to help them solve these critical challenges. In this dynamic presentation, John Mattone will reveal why there are massive leadership, talent and culture gaps in companies all over the world and what companies (led by the HR team) must do to solve these challenges.

Special Talk: LGBT - a social stigma at work?

Speakers : Laxmi N Tripathi -Founder Trustee & Chairperson - Astitva, Abhijit Bhaduri -Chief Learning Officer - Wipro Ltd., Parmesh Shahani -Head Culture Lab - Godrej India,

The world over, people are fighting for the rights of the LGBT community. They fight for rights because the society is yet to understand and accept this group of people, for who they are. Yes, they are different but does that mean that they are somehow less likely to contribute to society, to the workplace? We would definitely like to think that the answer is No. We therefore have to ask, is there a serious attempt by corporates to create DNI policies that recognise and support LGBT rights? Are there enough organisations even looking at including the LGBT population into DNI Policies? And for those companies that want to be inclusive but are asking 'what should DNI policies for LGBT encompass and how do you create a fair and open workplace for LGBT population when there are social stigmas attached in our country?' This session will attempt to address these questions and will help us understand how we can create more inclusive workplaces, the strengths that this community brings to the workplace and the help that they need, to perform optimally so that field is level for the them. Much like it is for you.

If you ask the same question to Business Heads in your organization, 9 times out of 10, they would respond that the purpose of HR is to help in growing the business. So, what is HR not getting? Are we not getting that our role extends beyond that of an excellent transactional specialist? Are we not getting that being unaware of business KPIs will weaken our position within the organization? Are we not getting that we need to focus on strategic development to be able to truly partner in elevating business performance? Perhaps then, it is time for transformation. Richard Cowley is not going to hand you the answers today. He will help you discover them yourself. Richard is going to make you sit up and think, and critically evaluate - what needs fixing, and how do we fix it? Talent Supply Chain Management - The need for organizations to go beyond the normal - Partner - BTI
By definition Normal means conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected. These words are almost considered "bad words" in corporate parlance today. In feedback sessions we often tell our employees to think beyond the usual, challenge situations and question the way we do stuff and not just conform. We often do not follow our own advice! Even today, the Talent Supply Chain Process has seen little innovation and change. We continue to do things the same way as a decade ago. Hence a need to go beyond the normal.

Our panel in this session will talk about clear actions we need to take in this respect and address aspects of :
    - How do we Sustain Talent in a Changing World?
